Why Samantha Harris's Anouska claim changes the scale

≈3 min read

Samantha Harris built her entire Anouska narrative on a claimed personal history. I have been in direct ongoing contact with Anouska throughout my reporting. Those two things cannot both be true in the way Samantha has presented them.

What Samantha's claim requires

Samantha Harris has publicly stated that she knew Anouska De Georgiou personally in the mid-1990s and that she was present for events Anouska later testified about at Ghislaine Maxwell's criminal trial. That claimed personal history is the entire foundation she stands on when she challenges Anouska's account and credibility. Without it, she has no standing to say what she has been saying about a Maxwell trial witness.

That is why the foundation matters, and that is why the May 31 recording changes everything. At 0:01:20, Samantha says the information she is using came from the attorneys. At 0:18:57, she names which attorney: "Leah is Ghislaine Maxwell's lawyer." The personal-history foundation she has been presenting publicly is contradicted by her own words in a private recording, where she places the origin of her information with Maxwell's own defense counsel.

What I know from direct contact with Anouska

I have been in direct and ongoing contact with Anouska De Georgiou for months. We spoke by phone dozens of times over the course of my reporting. We exchanged messages consistently throughout the period when all of this was happening. I know what Anouska has told me about Samantha's claimed personal history, and I know what she has said about whether Samantha's account of events is accurate.

I am not publishing Anouska's words here without her explicit authorization, because that decision belongs to her and she has not approved a public statement for this page. What I can say as the journalist who has had those direct conversations is that the account Samantha has been presenting publicly does not match what Anouska has told me about their history and their actual level of acquaintance.

My reporting relationship with Anouska is documented. The contact logs exist. The conversation records exist. They are in the private archive and will be provided to qualified legal reviewers on request.

Why this matters beyond a personal dispute

Anouska De Georgiou testified at Ghislaine Maxwell's criminal trial. Her testimony is part of the public court record. A coordinated effort to publicly discredit a Maxwell trial witness, using language that traces back to Maxwell's own defense attorney, while Maxwell's post-conviction petition was active and while I had direct ongoing reporting contact with that witness, is not a social media conflict between two people who disagree about what happened decades ago.

It is source-chain evidence that belongs with qualified legal reviewers who have the authority to evaluate whether civilian actors were being used to advance a defense-side credibility attack against a witness whose testimony Maxwell's team is working to undermine in a federal post-conviction proceeding.

That is the scale this operates at, and that is why this page exists on a site that has already been transmitted to Congress.

What the full archive contains on this lane

The full Samantha recording from May 31, 2026 is password-protected on the audio page. It contains the attorney-source admissions, the Anouska credibility discussion, and the Homeland Security references in context. Qualified reviewers can request access through the contact page.

The February 2026 email from Samantha to David Oscar Markus at Maxwell's defense firm, which predates her public Anouska statements by three months, is in the private packet and has been transmitted to Congress. That timeline is central to understanding the sequence of how the credibility attack on Anouska was constructed before it was made public.

My full contact log with Anouska, my call records, and my message history with her are preserved and available to attorneys and investigators who are in a position to review them under appropriate confidentiality protections.
